Don't you hate it when you are happily telling someone a story and they rudely interrupt you, or angrily reply, "you've already told me." and it hurts your feelings, because you've listened to them tell the same story over and over and over again, just listening not mentioning you've heard it already, because you are trying to spare their feelings, but they are assholes, and they tell you it's okay to be rude to them and tell them you've heard it cuz it won't hurt their feelings, but still not realizing that it obviously hurt yours, and then they get upset because you stop speaking for fear of sounding stupid...god. i hate myself.
Don't worry about it, you just almost made the same mistake again, but this time I caught you before you cried...Good Job.
