Lies

Folder:
Love and Pain

A man can tell a thousand lies

never knowing the beauty of that which escapes him

The pride of greed and mulitple choice

outshine the treasure of undefiled commitment

Opportunities of purity pass him by

He allows them to scatter hither and there

All the while investing in stocks of nothing

while his discreet queen sits idly awaiting her

summit of strength

with appointed memories wasting in the wind

Carelessly sowing seeds of deceit

His false declarations are the value of his honor

To build sandcastles of mere mud and sediment

are the typical choice

forsaking the pearl and jaspar kingdom

he could joyfully inherit

Like the countless number of flowers in a field

or the sand immeasurable by the sea

Never knowing the beauty of that which escapes him

A man can tell a thousand lies

Author's Notes/Comments:
