His Little Girl

Folder:
Poetry

So it's part of your past, you say,

It's all her fault, you say,

She wanted it, is what you tell me.

Somewhere out there is your little girl,

Who doesn't know her daddy,

Because mommy won't let her see him.

I don't know what to say.

I don't know what to feel.

It all happened a long time ago,

Long before we met.

But the past has a way of rearing its ugly head.

I want to scream in your face and make you cry,

Because I know you know you screwed up.

But I want you to hold me while I'm sad,

Because I want to forgive you.

Somewhere out there is your little girl,

Who I wish was mine.

She'll probably never know you, just a figment of her imagination.

I know you want her and miss her.

Why can't she be ours?

This is a great poem...but you probably know that ;) Anyway, I just wanted to type down a message to let you know I like it much. I can imagine how you feel because i would most likely feel the same way. Thanks for making me think.
