FIVE SENSES OF YOU

Love has a color

It’s the color of my blood

As it pumps through my veins

Whenever my thoughts are turned to you

It’s the sparkle in your eyes

As your gaze falls upon me

A single red rose

Meticulously placed

Mesmerizing splendor

Love has a sound

It’s a deep sigh

Of emotions left unspoken, yet heard

It’s a stolen breath

The sounding of a heartbeat

A sweet whisper of your voice

Silence never awkward

Love has a taste

Watermelon kisses

Intoxicating lips

It’s euphoric tears soaked by your tongue

Love has a touch

An aching of my body

Eager to be yours

It’s the piercing of a heart

A consoling embrace

The soft brush of your fingertips

My rising pulse

Love has a smell

Our sweat infused

Your leftover scent

After a night of passion

Our dampness in the air

Love's many expressions
