It was an unexpected passage through the Earth and worms complained of the unwanted visitors, Corporeal, the charmer, and the fidgety whispering, Acreage. Earth had a grudge against Acre, an eon’s old altercation once errupted over Water’s right to irrigate an Oasis’s perimeter. Acreage fumed and wanted to relocate the rest stop used by Water since the beginning of beginnings. Water left the Oasis dry and Acre was still steaming.

So much for background review, Earth greeted his guests offering each their favorite drink, Corporeal preferring sassafras tea, mostly bark, Acreage sipped green beer from a cocoanut shell-a reminder of the oasis he had lost in the Sahara.

 .

Courtesies satisfied, Corporeal put forth the hardest case: “Water has outlived her usefulness to all of us. Shortages of dry places are vanishing. There is no solid place to put a thought or whim to, less a foot or twig! I want her dead. Join us. We have a plan.”

.

Earth blinked and what had been the Hawaiian Islands, were now three thousand feet below sea level and covered with his favorite molten rock. He looked at Acre, frowning. Chips of rock tumbled into the Indian Ocean. Acre scratched a tract of prime real estate, wanted to bundle derivitives and talk refinancing, but instead said, “Georgia’s red head bled till dead. Water did the deed with ice. I want Revenge summoned. Your cousin. You owe me for giving you South America and Mozambique.” It was true what Acre said but death was extreme. Death lived underground and hated rearranging names on his lists. Earth sipped Gingko Root coffee and thought it over.
