Late Late Night

Years Of Plagues
  • We enter better weather glad for more sun, glad the ice is melted, thrilled the air is warm. Along with dry comes fires: Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico - so far, maybe more. What if this is the turning point and science got it wrong or is attempting to maintain calm? I feel over provided with bad predictions And theiries. The truth would be welcome if it is worse than reported.

  • No fires in Michigan, we flood. Politicized, better drains discussed, but not in time for summer storms gathering. Meanwhile, the polar caps break heat records and ignoring signs of things unfixable has merit. You are happier. I have heard several people say they stopped listening to the news, too depressing or mood lowering. I stop periodcally, more frequently lately. With 2024 approaching, I need to be emotionally mended for what is about to happen.

  • Inflation? We are running out of energy, China and Russia are testing long range missiles and Ukraine and the price of milk headlnes the news. But, buy, buy is the message. Invest dollars until they grow up again, it is siggested, or a pecial on savings eaten by too high prices fills airways and netways. Buying slows and there goes the economy. We have enough. I have no space for more syndrome kicks in. Sales slump. Real bad news, the "R" word. Consumer confidence hangs by a mask loop.

  • Where are the happy people? For 40 years I was  content, now since covid I worry more. Will I get it? Watch to see if I caught it. Mother's Day at nephew's - do I go? I miss the fam, their laughter. Kids gigglng. Bid whist :D
