Who Said That?

Folder:
Vintage Words

I have been old since the age of eleven.

grew up fast on the streets of Detroit

avoiding all the pitfalls. Well,

most of 'em.

I am a result, six decades later,

of a plethora of social experiments.

Daily I am awakened by the will

to continue, ignoring a variety

of pains.

.

I am so glad that someone

invented aspirin concepts and

turned them  into something

you can swallow. Living is

easier.

I am too old to think up

anything truly insightful. So,

enjoy a few well wishes

for survival and fulpfillment

and painlessness.

.

Evolution is standing near

the window leaning against

the sill, picking dreams from her

teeth, and watching the wonder

that is us old dreamers.
