Today two separate halves

become a whole.

We unite ourselves in love

and life.

We give to each other our hearts,

our souls.

To be joined together in this life

and the next.

I couldn’t have imagined a better person

to share everything I have.

You are my life, my breath, my undying soul.

My eyes light up when I see you,

my heart dances when you are near,

my soul soars when I think about you.

We fit together and everything seems right.

You are my forever love.

Author's Notes/Comments: 

I wrote this for a friend who was getting married. My inspiration were both sets of grandparents because they were married for over 50 years.
