I saw Two Eyes

As the color of this morning changed,

I saw two eyes pass me by.

Their glimming fire anguished this flame,

As a cold blue settled within the days.

I walked with blind eyes,

And talked to deaf stones.

But their blaze within my chest remained.

And the undying question, repeately I heard:

"Where must one lose his faith?"

I saw two eyes,

Two gems,

Two marvelous sins.

Their flame took mine,

And tore my faith.

Such gleaming golden gems,

With intent behind their glare.

I felt my heart today.

Awaken.

Time has shifted,

Still searching within this flame.

I saw Two eyes...

I fear I won't forget.
