Dolly Dear

Clenched fists

Red eyes

Stinging from

Salty tears

Why

Am I

Me?

Who wants this mistake?

A flawed doll,

Supposed to be a porcelain beauty

Who wants a porcelain beauty?

Everyone

Love dies

Over time

First, sweethearts

Suddenly, enemies

But for me

I don’t have to worry about losing my love

Because

It will never come to me

everyone has demons

you are not alone. You write very well, most compelling. Every Religion has a name for those demons, those hannya, submit or resist, sometimes we just need to express,

I think Bob Dylan said it very well,

In "simple twist of fate"

They walked along by the old canal
A little confused, I remember well
And stopped into a strange hotel
With a neon burnin' bright
He felt the heat of the night
Hit him like a freight train
Moving with a simple twist of fate

A saxophone someplace far off played
As she was walkin' home, by the arcade
As the light bust through a beat-up shade
Where he was wakin' up
She dropped a coin into the cup
Of a blind man at the gate
And forgot about a simple twist of fate

He woke up, the room was bare
He didn’t see her anywhere
He told himself he didn't care
Pushed the window open wide
Felt an emptiness inside
To which he just could not relate
Brought on by a simple twist of fate

He hears the ticking of the clocks
And walks along with a parrot that talks
Hunts her down by the waterfront docks
Where the sailors all come in
Maybe she'll pick him out again
How long must he wait
One more time for a simple twist of fate

People tell me it's a sin
To know and feel too much within
I still believe she was my twin
But I lost the ring
She was born in spring
But I was born too late
Blame it on a simple twist of fate.

Self-observations, interior investigations, and deep wondering in poems, they reveal and expose for the world to glimpse at a raw pain that we leave on the page. Language and sound echo our lives. The heart sometimes it could use a kind of GPS to help get bearing on the pleasure of life. Life can be so cruel. Let verse grow from the physical world then into the historic, emotional.

Your poems are miraculous songs of grief and pressure. They refuse to let the audience turn away. I applaud your candor.

Be well

Peace

Dylan

that means so much

That was beautiful, it means so much to me. That was one of the few times anyone has ever made me feel wanted in the world. I cried because of the sheer beauty in that song.

I felt like i was worth something, i thank you so much, i actually can't describe how much joy came over me when i read that comment. You sir, are wonderful person and i admire you and how you care. I haven't had anyone been so kind to me and a long while. Wow, words can't even explain how amazing you are.
