My Dear Friend-Edited

My dear friend,

i remember when we were happy.

When we would laugh together over simple things.

Nothing could tear us apart,

for we were incomplete without each other.

Our hearts beat the same rhythm.

we were one together.

I remember when we ran together,

full of life and youth.

Nothing could bring us down,

we were healthy and happy.

It was as though the sun would always shine upon us.

Everything was vibrant when we were together.

But now you’re so cold.

There’s a far off look in your eyes.

Eyes that have glazed over,

now dull and old.

I now know we will not laugh together,

for nothing can undo what has been done.

Who would have thought our walls would come crashing down around us?

Or something could tear us apart.

our sun was covered in clouds,

and our night of fun ended.
