you say that you love me

and that with you im always safe

but i feel like im going to suffocate

youre smothering me, your just coming too close

youre closing me in, its like parent overdose

i want to be free to make mistakes

i want to learn on my own

ill do what it takes

dont make me avoid you

dont make me put up walls

ill do what it takes

through dark caves ill crawl

ill swim against rushing currents

ill crash into waves

ill climb the highest mountains

just to live life my way

i can make my life happen

i dont need all your help

i can do somethings on my own

i want to live for myself

dont want to worry

about pleasing you all the time

dont want to wonder

what you meant by that sigh

ill break down closed doors

ill swim across lakes

ill work hard forever

if thats what it takes

will that prove to you

that although its tough

youve done enough
