behind her masquerade

Folder:
Hyacinth garden

she hides
lonely in deliberation
bent

to the surrender

that cannot abandon the blue

it is sapphire in a match with her eyes

Oh! the tears.

how they spill

they collect and fill

in the cruel
from crimson

by candle light,

when the night itself demands climax
softly interred her musing burns

to sleep or dream someone else's dreams

how she wanes
deep, slow hushed in denial,
quietly she yearns

longings
. . . fuse. . . then forgive
to feel the touch
would it stimulate and be sublime

so much implied
from deep inside

words beckon

she whispers,
“I wish for a kinder time,”
reason vanishes
she cries softly her tender breath on the wind

alone in the night she is camouflaged
behind her masquerade

Women are much stronger

Women are much stronger emotionally than men BECAUSE they cry. They can bounce back much faster, have stronger critical thinking skills, and don't hold as many grudges, because they cry...and have no qualms about it. Just an opinion of course. But the poem is, as always, touching, Dylan. Love it.

.....

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
