the beats

family and friends often had poems on their lips
about Woody’s songs and other amusing quips
in the days of the unseen Radio Active scene
we all listened to “howl” because it was so obscene
then the beats went to Mexico City to breed their addiction
to say that train went off the tracks is no contradiction
the brakeman was dreaming about riding that train
you all know how sometimes words can damage the brain
"I don't really feel like reading anymore. I just sorta haven't got any kind of steam.”
Yeah, it Allen, it ain’t like it was before, now there are several generations that forget how to dream…

Yes much of my work has some beats characteristics, the free form and pace was revolutionary!

Truth be spoken. Most would wont have an idea what you are talking about. The link should be very helpful. Literature wise I haven't been to pass the period. People ask me about popular titles and why I haven't read them and the answer is simple; there is just too much to catch up on from the past and not enough time. So much to learn. Wish I could read faster...

read fast

read slow
don't matter
just read
and
then
read some more,
by the way most people wouldn't care about Allen Ginsberg and "HOWL"
he doesn't have a twitter or facebook account and neither do I

Finally someone understands

Finally someone understands what letgetgo means! Been using it for years and no one gets it! Just found this site and haven't had an audience for my stuff in many years. Have books of old stuff that seems to be utter crap today (and it was edited by writers a lot smarter than me - what were they thinking!) Plan to add a mix of old and new. You'll see the difference pretty quickly as well some recurring themes.
Thanks!

Post Script
Love your name by the way! Two great poets in one! Can't even think of Dylan Thomas without recalling my father's death and Do Not Go Gently Into That Good Night...
