Who are you?
As I look in the mirror
she stares back at me,
The women I know
but will never see.
She seems so familiar
yet distant and strange,
for she is not what I picture
or image I frame.
I know all her stories
of her present and past,
I know how she's feeling
when she's happy and sad.
I know what she's doing
if shes angry or mad.
The thing that is strangest
'bout this girl that I see.
The strangest thing is
that yound girl is me.
Similarities
Back in '08 I cut a disc called "World Brutality" with the band I formed, eXithead.
On that disc is a song called, "Smoke and Mirrors", it's about looking in the mirror and not knowing who you're looking at. I can connect with this.
