Thank You Father Today

What a joy to open my eyes,

With my heart still circumcised—

Resting in mercy I can’t repay,

Walking the path Your hands always lay.

I thank You, Father, today.

You’ve been faithful—faithful,

More than my tongue could ever relay.

You’ve been graceful—graceful,

Lifting my soul from sin’s decay.

So I lift my voice, I lift my hands,

And I honor You in every way—

Thank You, Father, today…

Thank You, Father, today.

I thank You, Father, today.

I thank You, Father, today,

For making a way when there was none.

I thank You, Father, today,

For the gift of Your Only Begotten Son.

I thank You, Father, today,

For breathing Your life into my soul.

I thank You, Father, today,

For sending the Spirit to make me whole.

It’s the overflow of Your favor,

And the Blood of the Savior—

You cover me in season and out.

As for me and my house,

I thank You, Father, today.

You’ve been faithful—faithful,

More than my tongue could ever relay.

You’ve been graceful—graceful,

Lifting my soul from sin’s decay.

So I lift my voice, I lift my hands,

And I honor You in every way—

Thank You, Father, today…

Thank You, Father, today.

I thank You, Father, today.

I thank You, Father, today,

For making a way when there was none.

I thank You, Father, today,

For the gift of Your Only Begotten Son.

I thank You, Father, today,

For breathing Your life into my soul.

I thank You, Father, today,

For sending the Spirit to make me whole.

If I had a thousand tongues,

I’d use every one to magnify Your name.

If I had a thousand lives,

I’d lay every one at the feet of Your name.

You’ve been good—so good,

Better than my heart could ever say—

Let me thank You, Father, today.

Thank You, Father, today—

For Your love that forever will stay.

I thank You, Father, today…

And forever, I’ll say—

I thank You, Father, today.

I just wanna say…

I just wanna say…

Thank You, Father, today.

I thank You, Father, tomorrow.

I thank You, Father, as long as I live.

I thank You, Father, for all You give.

I thank You, Father, for yesterday,

For last week,

And the week before that.

I just wanna say…

I thank You, Father, today!

A Portion of My Gratitude

Thank you so much. I just wanted to give God back a portion of what He’s poured into me. Every line came from a place of gratitude and remembrance, so it means a lot that you felt the testimony and the Scripture woven through it. All glory to the Father—today and always.
