What a joy to open my eyes,  

With my heart still circumcised—  

Resting in mercy I can’t repay,  

Walking the path Your hands always lay.  

I thank You, Father, today.  

You’ve been faithful—faithful,  

More than my tongue could ever relay.  

You’ve been graceful—graceful,  

Lifting my soul from sin’s decay.  

So I lift my voice, I lift my hands,  

And I honor You in every way—

For making a way when there was none.

For the gift of Your Only Begotten Son.

For sending the Spirit to make me whole.  

It’s the overflow of Your favor,  

And the Blood of the Savior—  

You cover me in season and out.  

As for me and my house,  

I thank You, Father, today.
