hehe.. so what were you thinking when you started to read this poem?? huh huh??

Have you ever came upon a sidewalk art sale?  Depicted Sorrow, was what came to mind when I viewed the painting I just described. Just a young woman by the sea - simply done, by an artist that may never be known.  I was drawn by this painting and touched by the saddness I could feel, portraid by it's simplicity.  Sadly I was not able to take the painting home.  I came back to get her, but she was gone. I hope she hangs within a happy home! ~Lesa~

My friend told me about him thinking about commiting suicide. I wrote this out of anger of that conversation. I am sorry if it offends anyone.

WRITTEN APRIL 1989.
THIS POEM WAS WRITTEN AFTER A FRIEND COMMITED SUICIDE WHEN HER BOYFRIEND LEFT HER FOR ANOTHER GIRL. THIS IS WHAT A PERSON MIGHT SEE OR FEEL AFTER THEY'VE TAKEN THEIR OWN LIFE.
THIS POEM WAS PUBLISHED IN SUMMER 2001. IT RECEIVED THE EDITOR'S CHOICE AWARD IN TWO DIFFERENT POETRY CONTESTS.

This is about suicide...not love.
