its been too long

since i first looked into your eyes

its time for me to look away

its time to say good-bye



i am not going to lie

to me you meant everything

but when things started to change

i almost forgot what your touch could bring



good-bye i wish i could say

i want our memories to slowly fade away

i want to move on with my life

i know that if i try i will be OK



the last words are

never easy to say

i know that you don't want it to be over

but with you no longer i can stay



its been so rough on me

you never seemed to care

so why did i

i still dont know



i knew you didn't know what to do

so i made it an easy pick

its so funny how you thought i wouldn't find out

you really aren't that slick



so our days together are over

and as the days continue pass

i will be sure to not look

at the tears from my past



it doesn't hurt as much as i thought it would

i learned to take my heart and leave

i cant believe that i believed what you said

i can't believe that i could be so naive



some days i may think about you and

a tear may run down my face

I'll remember the love we shared

which nobody in the world can replace
