Moonlight Falling

Moonlight falling to caress the earth

Rustling leaves waltz the softness of the light

Greeting my footsteps with their vagabond whispers

As Shadows smile a reply in ghostly dance

Familiar streets beckon my visit once again

My response never hesitant to obey their wish

I am alone but never lonely as I search my way

For memories not yet lost still hold me fast

Moonlight falling to caress my soul

A simple trek to free my mind from its waste

In shadow and moonbeam and stardust’s gentle kiss

Life unveils the magic of its beauty
