Pushing Against Me
With the wind pushing against me
It’s going to take a great deal of faith
To get to where I need to be
And, I know that pain will surely be a friend of mine
Or a foe, in another’s eyes
But, grace will keep me safe
Teach me the importance of faith
And, get me to where I need to be
I would have given the world at the time
I would have given it all away in a moment
If the road would have shortened in front of me
But, God spoke to me
Stand the test
Learn from your mistakes, but then forget them
Forgive those who have hurt you, and you will have forgiven yourself too
Learn that love from the east to the west
Can’t even begin to measure My love for you
And, that you will be okay, because I Am with you
With the wind pushing against me
I can feel the Strength against my back
Pushing the wind with me
