Get a grip

Can you remember when

You graced me with the presence of your life

Placed me on a pedestal so high above the rest

And when I came alive



By the light of life my eyes now see

The future as a sign instead of a fight

And now I know everything will all be fine

And that on the day I die

By the grace of God’s light

I will for the first time not be blind



I must admit

My life’s been blessed

Even on the days I thought would never end

Seems I found within strength I never knew I had

That gave me back my life

My life’s been a mess

Even on the day’s I’ve felt so blessed

Seems I’ve found rest from my insecurities

Now, my heart is finally beating



I held out like you said to

And it came back just like you said it would

Like a line connecting me to you

And now I know
