Drive, and Drive, and Drive

Folder:
The Present

I got a sister about to graduate college

And a brother on his way to a P.H.D. degree

Yeah, they got their life so planned out

While I just ride the breeze wherever it will go

God I love them so, but I don’t need the same

I love this highway

Where I just drive, and drive, and drive

Until I find somewhere else I want to stop

Just give me a car and a full tank

And I’ll drive, and drive, and drive

Until I find what I want

This country’s full of slow life and Momma’s diners

Where no one worries about tomorrow or what time it is

I think that these people have got life figure to a T

Cause when there’s a fork in the rode of life

They pick one side and just keep on living it

I love this highway

Where I just drive, and drive, and drive

Until I find somewhere else I want to stop

Just give me a car and a full tank

And I’ll drive, and drive, and drive

Until I find what I want

A grassy dirt road or hard concrete

It doesn’t matter what life puts in front of me

I’ll surely find exactly what I need

And if I don’t

Well at least I’ll still be breathing

I just drive, and drive, and drive

And live, and live, and live

Until something stops me in my tracks and I fall in love

But until then just give me a car and a full tank

And I’ll drive, and drive, and drive

Until I find what I want
