I wasn’t willing to respond

When you said what you felt was love

Honestly, it took me off guard

Still haven’t quite gotten my breath back

From your well constructed lie

My chest is still constricted from shock



Is this too abnormal of a response for you?

I know you want to fall into a well after this, don’t you?

But after this, what’s left?

I’d die for you?

Cause I don’t know if I would



Don’t take it so harshly

Cause it’s not just directed at you

I’ve been known to give my love sparsely

Well... you asked for honesty

I have a firm belief it’s a virtue

I also believe it hard to come by
