The end is surely going to have its day

When we won't and it will awake

And we will be something other than ourselves

Maybe angels, maybe devils

Or maybe still stuck in the middle

As it seems we've always been

Too afraid to play, to lose, to win, to fight against

The barricades of life we've been given



It seems to me that some things shouldn't stay unstated

And it seems to me that now-a-days life is underrated

And that we've got some changing to do



When life means the presence of pain

And that by it is when life takes place

And that it's okay to end it before it does

Cause hate has taken the place of love

But when will enough be enough

To know that's not what love is

Cause it's about facing and fighting and overcoming

The barricades of life we've been given



Child, God's speed is with you

He saw the faith within you

And knew you were better off staying in Heaven
