My Nights

A single shooting star,

Screams past my window

Not giving me any opportunity- or hope...

Just an imprinted illusion- that unfortunately-

Has no chance.

Remembering is easy,

It's the simplicity of forgetting,

The pain-

The sorrow-

All of my single stated loneliness.

I'm wedded- and promised-

To a fantasy.

Hanging by a comet's tail,

And wishing on lost constellations.

Silver tears-

Emerald eyes-

Crying away each and every night.

Love is promising,

-Eternal-

Inner peace...

And all too often, too hard to be seen.

But yet, he's in every breath-

Every dream-

Everything I do...

But also, in an absence of my life.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem is not really my style, but probably my most realistic. I think it shows how much he is needed in my life, but still not here.
