I don't need to hear your lecture
On the things I say and do
I'm happy being me
This should never be an issue
I don't have to be logged with my every waking move
I am living my life and have nothing to prove
I'm content on being quiet
When I feel the need to be
And if I feel like raging
There are things you'll never see
I don't have to tell you everything if I do not desire
Sometimes I just don't want to talk because I am too tired
I have a right to hide away
Even months at a time
It doesn't mean I hate you
It's just time that's mine.
