Love Poems

I fall backwards into an abyss...

Can you see the golden strands of my blonde hair waving about in the wind?

That same sweet nectar sits beautifully upon the petals of the lily,

With the same crystallized radience of before...

It's been months, over a year since my last let-down.

And I turn to you,

My pale-- peach skin naked under this moonlight.

I reach for you...

My hands outstretched,

Lips parted,

A yearning in my oceanic blue eyes that you love so well...

Whispering my name,

You draw me close to your heart...

I feel the rhythmic beat that has drawn me to this comforted state of being...

I breathe in,

Breathe out...

My chest rising and falling as I run my fingers through your sparkling brown locks.

Such beauty they posess..

And your eyes...

Such radience even on the cloudiest of days...

You look at me,

I change...

You see the woman you glance at,

Naked before you and happy--

And flashback---

To the scared little girl no one used to know...

It was her alone in her room,

Her blonde hair hiding the scars,

Her tears,

And the helpless,

Drowning soul she had locked beneath her outer shell.

A little girl,

Not yet grown.

And as you glance deeper,

I come to view again.

My auburn hair falling gently in the ocean blues that have worn and tattered through broken dreams.

Do you feel my love radiating through my fingertips,

As I run them softly upon your skin?

Do you see me, as I am?

Do you see this gown of angelic white that I wear?

Its sheer cloth, completely see-through...

And my wings, unfolding to wrap around your soft skin...

As stray feathers fall to the ground

With a swinging motion.

Preen this goddess,

For she is merely a mortal!

But love, you have given me these wings!

The old feathers fall out with each stretch of them,

As the new grow in with each smile you bring to my lips.

You're leading my past to water, gathered in a newly sown wicker basket,

And setting it free along the river--

To float into the unknown..

Away from my fragile, girlish figure.

My lips, kissable-- I presume... And I hope.

For you promise to only kiss these lips for the rest of your life...

'Till your last breath,

And love me for beyond.

"Until my heart stops beating, and beyond-- I will love you. It will never fade, never break, never feel pain. Our love will be a million embers of beautiful, luminous fire, burning bright for decades... Forever, even. Aphrodite has found her lover... And she sheds her immortality, to spend her life in a better place-- with you."

Forever, does mean forever...

This time.
