You Fall From Heaven

You fall from heaven

Heavy, light

On soft skin

You fall from heaven

Not grace, however

Gracefully falling

Trickling towards

Sweet lips

When you fall from heaven

I will be there

To watch you

Catch you

Amazing

How I used to wonder

The way I always feel

How you make me feel

Warm when cold

I will be waiting for you

To fall from heaven

I can see you coming

From far

Dark, threatening to some

To me a relief

A sign of better days

To take away the pain

Of many, mine

You fall from heaven

A soft trickle

Fickle how you come and go

Every drop I treasure

A pleasure

When you come and go

A brief interlude

At times I wanted to

Stand still, admire

Hear you beat on the zinc roof

Splattering, drumming even

Synchronized notes in harmony

How beautiful the music

A waste not to sit here and

Admire in solace

But thoughts of her drip

Just like you

Trickling towards

Sweet lips
