Solace in the Dark

i. eternal darkness

There will be no sun tomorrow

For one day it will be away

No rising, no shinning

It determines nothing, everything

Stay away for a day

Or awhile at least

As when you rise

There is a burden of expectation

shinning with might

determining everything, nothing

You are praised endlessly

Blinded believers!

Bright lights burn nothing, everything

The night is elusive,

exclusive

submissive

fortunately,

a reprieve from your misery, drudgery

Light is useless

when the dark provides solace.

ii. sunshine

Sun is coming through the window

Agony

At the speed of light

changing everything

conquering the night.

With might.

Evidently so

The night is hiding

Being elusive once again

exclusive, Only to those

who believe

or dare to anyway

In silent years we were taught to

look up to the sun

our eyes, minds shut

The sun with all its glory

missing something still

The light has fooled us all,

believing in a superfluous power

not seen but talked about

Possibilities- and the moon’s hypocrisy

Trust not the night

whose only friend is the Moon

Cheating others,

Borrowing light

Faith it inspires?

Hypocrite.

Seeking solace in the dark,

finding not

in the End.
