The Last Day on Earth
The day have finally came after many years. For a great period of time we were living in a daily extreme hot. For many years I have being witness of the death and extinction of many species of plants and animals by the great temperatures, and being part of a great crisis of water that we were having do to the evaporation of the rivers and lakes around the cities.
All of what was happening demonstrated that the scientists and astronomers from past years were telling the truth: the sun was accelerating his heat. Most of the citizens became calm of what was happening, as it was a common problem like global warming, but years later, all of us had a great surprise for discovering that this is more serious than what we expected, and in a few years, there is predicted to be a solar cataclysm.
We had little time for preparing for what will happen, but we were in time to find out a planet that can be the replace of the Earth, but now many lives will have to be sacrificed while only a few were declared “The Chosen Ones”, me and my love Celestia were among them. There were not enough evacuate transportations for all, but I was very lucky to be one of them and survive with the sole important person I have left.
I had only a few hours before surviving, so I decided to pass those moments with Celestia, we see the city national park, or what was left from it, the plants and the animals that had the courage to tolerate the great temperatures of our planet. Most of all was for seeing for the last time ever the nature and the landscape of the Earth, but what we can see is a red landscape produced by a red aurora that was surrounding the sky.
On our city, there were two spacecraft that will send us the new home planet, but on a surprise of last minute, we have to travel in different ones, which means that we had to be separated for some years until we reach our destiny. We really can’t believe that. We say farewell to our friends that had to stay and suffer a terrible destiny. Then Celestia and I kissed and embraced in order to go to our respective spacecraft, but in a positive way that we are survivors and will join together in a new home.
After entering the spacecraft, I saw a earthlike landscape inside there, in order to have a better life during a long time of space travel, but I really can’t have a good by being alone without my love and only with strange people. The time was out and the ship shuttle into the space, and all the memories of my life in Earth were left in the planet.
Inside the spacecraft, the only thing I wanted to do was seeing on the window a great solar flare passing through a blue sphere, getting all the memories I had from my past. Now I had to focus on the future and adapt to live and artificial world inside the traveler for many years, but I will accept to do that in order to wait until I meet Celestia on our new home.
