Iris leaves

Dull forest leaves crunched beneath her lashes..

Her skin fades and turns to ashes..

Skin scarred with faded dashes..

Cracks in the earthy soil cut like delicate slices through the skin..

Leaves fade and dull as they slowly die.. letting no colour in..

Like eyes loosing light only lightened by the gentle rain that closes the cracks through the earth..

Water that falls of the flakes wich protect these autumn leaves.. small breathless breath before death and after birth..

Something so meaningless she never understood..

Something they didnt see that she bareky could..

She watched the trees branches blossom sweet baby buds..

As each that she gave withered to none..

Alone in its hollow bark.. hidden behind the skin..

Little did they know that these walls were thin..

Careful not to help.. dont water and nurture her..

For shell hold onto your care.. and wish that she were..

Loved or whole.. before you leave.. once more like they all do..

Her branches thin and flowers few..

Each petal falls.. like the rain from its leaves..

Leaves coloured numb.. as she watches you leave
