I asked God to forgive me

He said it can't be done,



The thing you so willingly did

Hurt my beloved Son.



I told God I was sorry

Said, "It's from the heart",





God said your not truthful

You knew it from the start.



My heart was broken for the act

I took an action in,



I asked God for forgiveness

For the result of my sin.



I asked that I am made

More like His own Son,



I asked God for His forgiveness

He said its already done.
