The Void Mirror (Chapter 9)

We are officially taken out of our element of what we knew existed in life. We are now on the other side of the void mirror. The tales side of the coin of perception. This is truly a place that would only appear to be real in my dreams. This place we now are calling home has a foreign beauty. The first impression of this place is breathtaking. The other side of the mirror is a fully functional world. maybe even universe. It's hard to even try and describe the structures and landscapes of what I am seeing upon just arriving.

The Giant stone gate is no longer behind us. Its just a rocky ridge. We only have one way to really start walking witch is deeper into this place.
It seems like we have arrived around nighttime. The sun is setting in the distance. We are on an elevated plateau with mountains behind us. a valley in front of us. The sunlight glimmers gold. In the distance is a large body of water we cannot see across. Floating above the water witch seems to just be sitting on thin air. Is what looks like a village of some sort. It radiates light. It reflects the sun. It looks as if its a castle made of crystal. I am not sure what resides in it. But it towers over the water making it impossible not to notice. There is a descent size stairwell leading up from the beach to the floating kingdom. It seems to be the only thing attaching it to the ground. The walls of this place tower and there are golden towers that reflect the light of the sun and the water. making its reflective walls a mix of gold and blue. It looks as if the city is just one solid peace of gold crystal. Ill just say material. Its just one big mass of the same color. It is very abstract an unsymmetrical. Some towers are just straight witch peak with a triangular shapes. others are round and others I cannot even describe there shape they are trying to define. Especially with logic and physic laws that no longer govern everything I know about life. Before the beach and leading up to us is a huge grassy plane. The flowers all a pearly white. The grass is a crisp wheat like Orange. It is a home to a handful of trees. Slender trees witch twist and bend growing every witch way but straight up. There is a path leading from our rocky plateau leading winding down into the valley and disappearing into the grassy plane. The mountains behind us form a ridge that stretch like a natural wall in both directions as far as the eye can see. No sign of life. animals Just nature just the huge crystal castle but judging by its appearance. I wouldn't be phased if it too was completely vacant.

The sky is home to many stars and many moons. The stars are much more bright and can be seen through the golden sunlight. The moons align like planets. creating a straight line like connect the dots. The first is a huge red moon. Riddled with craters that appear as black spots you can see with the naked eye, Th second moon witch is in the middle is a purplish blue color. The moon is shattered. In three distinct large pieces one piece of the moon is almost exactly what appears to be 50% of its initial mass. a almost perfect half circle. The two pieces are just floating by the larger piece with viable crumbs of the shattered moon just looted all over that area of the night sky. Behind this moon i s a Large orange moon that almost resembles a small Saturn. It has rings. But they are running diagonal. instead of horizontal. It appears to be the biggest moon in the sky. and behind this moon is a pale small moon witch is partially eclipsed by another planet for you only see the corner its structure. and far way farther past this moon is the sun blinding bright. Way brighter than our sun. It is burning bright and hot. Illuminating everything. Creating harsh shadows that do not create cool shade. This is the void. I must say it is way more beautiful than I imagined. I figured we were going to be dumped in a hell fire of disasters.

The air is thin and perfectly hot. A light breeze with a sweet smell in the air like spring pollen being transported through the wisp of the breeze.
It really adds to this gorgeous majestic sight me and Meg are witnessing seeing with our eyes. This is the epitome of natural beauty.

"This is beautiful, I could live here for all of eternity" I insight to the also silent meg. who seems to be preoccupied with what she just been through.

"we must try and not dwell on what we just seen. we cannot reverse it so it is worthless to let it take all of our energy." I add.

"I know this. But my father doesn't. He will blame himself. He doesn't know we are still alive. He was there broken lying huddled over me crying, soaked in our blood!. He will never get passed this. I can't just forget about it because what we decided to embark on is irreversible. We are selfish. We caused more pain then what we can handle ourselves. I will dwell on this for as long as I want because everyone we ever known will never know we are alive. We cannot go back. We are all dead to them. Literally. I cannot forgive myself. I am here to find my brother. And upon arrival It looks as if were are stuck in a place where people do not exist. We are isolated from existence and from the living. We are trapped like rats!"

Meg is broken down, Lying in the dirt non her knees buried in her hands shedding tears of despair. I feel nothing. I don't even have the urge to try and comfort her. I don't know anything that will make her feel better. She is right. About everything. This moment goes on forever. I stand still like stone white as a ghost just taking in Meg crying in front of me. In an ironically beautiful place. And the first thing we feel upon arriving is sorrow and helplessness. It seems that beauty and the closest thing I ever witnessed to be considered a utopia of peace upon a broken soul. Everything is casted out and ignored. We only allow anguish and despair and aggression. Its all that's left of us. The comfort of a kiss and closeness is gone. We are broken beyond repair. We are lost in illusions and memories that we never be able to move on. We lost our sanity upon arrival. Forget even trying to find the ones we once loved. We are lost in this timeless place. Looking for something to reverse our actions. We did not plan on losing this much. We knew we would lose everything. But our conscience dying and leaving us in a place where sanity does not exist is something. I myself did not ever put into consideration.

So we just lie broken upon the edge of time and the other side of perception. With no will to even get up and investigate our new world we have no choice to call home. We are basically no longer existing. So far from our minds and riddled with guilt we both collapse to the ground and just hope to just be eroded into stone and forever forgotten. We are now just ghosts of memories and only live and peoples pasts that on the other side of the mirror. I just got here and I already wish to go back home.
