Under the moon

Is where I thought we'd be

Looking forward to a life

Of just you and me



But the skies are now dark

And the clouds fully cover

What I cherished to be

A reminder of each other



The rains fall down

Upon the little town

That holds the hill

Where I hope to see you still



Just by the way

The lightening strikes

You can tell

It's gonna be a depressing night



This lightening sees

The moon as fair game

So down it goes

Bursting aflame



And all of a sudden

A silence erupts

Except for a cry

For my world that's corrupt



My eyes become wet

And fill with sorrow

As I'm constantly dreading

What's to come tomorrow



For then I'll know

Your final choice

And I'm afraid my reaction

Might not be rejoice



I'll love you either way

But I'd love to have that day

Where in the future soon

We'll be underneath the moon.
