Fall

Folder:
Self-Harm

Pick me up,
lying lifeless on the ground.

Sweet surrender,
I long to be free.

Emptiness follows me,
voice echoing in the stale air.

The soft sting fades,
been bleeding too long.

Fascinated by the pain,
the scarlet tears that fall,
tried to feel anything at all.

Barely living, hanging onto life by the tips,
want to feel again,
anything but the blood,
falling on me like rain.

Death by candlelight,
sounds so sweet,
left alone at bitter night’s end.

Shaking and cold,
tears fall from eyes,
that have given up on having love to hold.

Left alone in the dark,
the blade on the ground,
I’m ready to fall.
