A pink rosebud
growing right before our eyes
its petals so soft
opening so slowly
enjoying her beauty so
before long
full grown was she
happy for its beauty
but yet sadden all the same
for this beautiful rose bud
has grown
grown into a beautiful rose
right before our eyes she has
almost over night
so fast it was
but no matter how grown
she will always be
my sweet little pink rose bud
