even though we talk about it

i can never get around it

you let me know just how you feel

reminds me that love is real

but i can never quite say

how i feel



the words keep coming but they're all so meaningless

and i keep talking, not taking a single breath

the hours, they tick by

but i know you're still there

i keep on talking

not giving you a reason to care



so let me say this one thing

i promise it's not the last

i will love you always

in the future and the past

so here's my gift to you, it's what I can't say
