Saddam's Statue
Peter Jennings tonight reported.. that 11 youths hit
the head of Saddam's statue while 7 cameramen followed.
Earlier in the day, webcams revealed.. the
Hollywood production aspects of the literal iconoclasm,
as first a tank was recruited.. then some youths
were recruited.. never more than a few dozen..
and then the ubiquitous cameramen.. dozens..
were on hand to film this fall of the socialist
leader to the visigoths of BP and Shell, Bechtel
and Battelle.
