if you had wanted  perhaps you could have found a better

O Thomas.. you point out the disparities in us all..

you wrote an abolition of slavery clause in the Declaration..

yet your peers defeated it.. even so you were paying

for bounty men to round up your run away slaves..



you promised freedom to your children by Sally Hemings..



but 200 of your slaves were sold at auction at your death



You took Sally to Paris.. where she was free..



You showed love to your white granchildren.. but not

  to your black children.



The water by the Jefferson Memorial.. is the reflecting

  water of Sally Hemings.. eternal woman.. receiving

  insult after insult.. never responding.
