A wretched man, deserving death, which is what I was and what I am,

But, God then sent on me living breath; Jesus Christ, the Great I AM,

Who always was and always will be, reigning from His Throne above,

Was sent to earth for you and me, and sent by God’s Amazing Love.



Although a sinner, I now have life, through The Lord God’s Only Son,

The Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who came and died for everyone.

Free according to all the law of man, free to travel about on my own,

But in God’s Law, I was condemned, by His decree, from His Throne.



I was in bondage to the very sin, which affects all men big and small,

A victim of my own heart within, of the wickedness from Adam’s fall.

So God’s own son paid the price, when Jesus Christ died at Calvary,

Dying as our Lord God’s sacrifice, to set sinful men in bondage free.



Being born simply from this earth, I could never enter Heaven above,

But, I must receive a spiritual birth, as provided by our Savior’s Love.

Simply born of the flesh of men, this earthly body shall someday die,

So I must become Born Again, through The Holy Spirit, from on High.



And now a new creature in Christ, cleansed of that sinful wickedness,

Born of God unto Eternal Life, through Jesus Christ’s Righteousness.

Now, I live this earthly life for Him, Jesus Christ, my Savior and Lord,

Who died for all of my wicked sin, so I can live with Him forevermore.
