Standing At The Door

He’s standing at the door to knock, Jesus Christ the Eternal Rock,

But not at the heart of unbelief, but true believers like you and me.

Those who listen to His voice, to make for God a personal choice,

A choice to open that door to Him, Christ, who died for all our sin.

If you open up, to let Christ in, He will eat with us and us with Him,

The One to who we gave our heart, wants all of us, not just a part.

With this one thought in your mind, don’t you think friend it’s time?

Time to leave this world’s side, to give our life to Christ, who died.

Some think life’s made us richer, but in His eye what’s the picture?

Are you rich from a worldly life, or are your riches in Jesus Christ?

Have men left His righteousness, to be enamored by worldliness?

Losing Christ’s peace and power, in this very crucial eleventh hour.

Do we need salve for our eyes, to see what could be our demise?

Created by all the half-hearted, who from the Lord have departed.

With Christ talking to His Church, maybe hearts we need to search,

To reflect upon our Savior Christ, denying self, giving Him our life.

Christ opens up to all the door, that leads to eternity with The Lord,

A door that no one else can close, if He’s the one you truly chose.

But, if you truly know not Him, and choose to cling to a life of sin,

Christ can also shut that door, and it will stay closed forevermore.
