I NEVER LEARN

I never learn

And that's my curse

Things always turn

From bad to worse

And this has caused

Some great concern

One of my great flaws:

I never learn



I always make poor judgment calls

That end in mistakes and I'm climbing the walls

Because I know right from wrong

But things always go where they don't belong



I never learn

And that's my fault

It makes my stomach churn

And my heartbeat halt

To even think

I'm about to be spurned

Here it comes,don't blink...

I never learn



Each step I take goes in reverse

From the time I wake, but I'm not the first

I'm sure there's been others before

Who've lost again and again some more



I never learn

And it's a fact

That I've gotten burned

Both front and back

To win just once

Is what I yearn

But I'm a  dunce ---

I'll never learn



I always seem to make a mess

It's become my theme, it's fate I guess

Or circumstance, I'm really not sure

I just need one chance to find the cure



I never learn

And I'm to blame

No one else earned

This guilt and shame

It's all on me

From bow to stern

Because,you see

I never learn
