Who really knows the reasons why?
You can search between the sea and sky
But you won't solve this mystery
Cause it's not up to you and me
Some things are destined to remain
Undefined and unexplained
There is no truth, there is no lie
And there won't be a reason why

From valleys low to mountains high
You can spend eternity on your quest
But, in the end, you'll confess
There isn't either a right or wrong
No answer seems to belong
Or even remotely qualify
There just isn't a reason why

No matter how many times you try
You'll never find what you seek
And it's not because you were weak
Some things are meant to be unknown
And are better off left alone
They just are and you and I
Will never know the reasons why
Who really knows the reasons why?
Even on the day that you die
And you stand before the Lord
He'll have no reason to afford
He'll just slowly shake His Head
And these Words from Him will be said:
“You let you whole life pass you by
“And so you missed your reason why.”
