banished words and with the

   slip of a tongue goes a broken smile.

forgotten tears and with the

    sense of loss comes the sad heart.

glaring eyes and with the

     bitterness of a life goes the dream.

diseases plague and with the

      spread of fear comes our weakness.

strangers are near and with the

       disappearing act goes the security.

sun sinks and with it the

        passing of day comes the shadows.

beginning turns old and with the

         ending of life goes all lost tomorrows.
