They wandered the earth
After time of seeing
Read the writing on our souls
They saw the truth of the cruel
We shattered their strength
And bought forth the tears of seraphim.
Water falls blue
Howling of despair
Upon our heads,deceit
Raining inside hearts,loss
Drowning life,chaos
Spilling into dreams,no hope
Descend the tears of seraphim.
Myth inside the moon
Tale shadowed in the cloud
They kneel beside the throne
Circled by fading light
Bound by breath and blood
Shedding grief,they mourn us
Remain the tears of seraphim
Lived as no more than winds
Born once into grace
Destroyed by own fragility
Broken by our will
Lay our heads in sleep
Knowing not what was done
Hear the tears of seraphim.
Life weakens
And we have failed them
Gone,the ways of old
Their song now but a whisper
abandoned in the past...
See what we see
See what we are
We do not imagine we were
We are the tears of seraphim...
