HOW DO YOU? (a love letter)
How do you tell someone that in no time at all he had taken so many loose ends and tied them together...repairing years of damage left by broken promises, broken relationships and broken dreams.
How do you tell someone that though by normal standards it appears that they had just met, it seems that he has known you for a lifetime. That instead of a chance encounter, in your heart you knew he was coming and was just waiting for him to show up.
How do you tell someone that though many would probably call you crazy the love you feel for him occurred so naturally and in such a short amount of time that it was like you had loved him even before you had ever met him. That he has filled so many voids with his soft spoken words, had brightened so many dark corners with the swell of his laughter.
How do you tell someone that though separated by time and space you can feel him as though he were right by your side. Tha his words envelop you while you are sleeping and that the warmth of his spirit covers you, warming your heart.
How do you tell someone that there are times when you really do have a lot to say, things to share but haven't figured out how to...or that your shyness compels you to hold it in. Shielding that part of you that is scared that once again you may be hurt, or that he may not be ready to acknowledge the onslaught of your emotions.
How do you tell soeone that though he has labeled you a "common thief" the half of all of the things that he has claimed within you could never be told...No love letter could ever express the feelings he has invoked. No words could ever portray the way he has so effortlessly moved you.
