Every time my eyes close,

your lifeless face flashes before me.

It’s so hard to believe you’re gone;

I wasn’t ready to let go.

I never had the chance to tell you all I had to say.

Everything that went left unspoken,

parts from me now in a whisper.



Goodbye, my friend.

May your unsettled heart be put to rest.

Selfishness wants you here with me,

but heaven is where you belong.

I cannot take back the pain in which you left,

but ecstasy awaits you now.

Not a day passes by

that I don’t think of you and all you have done for me.

I sometimes expect to see you,

as I pass by your final sleeping place.

But your presence has left us.

I can hear your murmur in the gentle breeze;

beckoning, calling softly to me.

Don’t worry about me; I’ll be just fine.

Selfishness wants me to stay with you,

but heaven is where I belong.

I cannot take away the pain I left you in,

But rapture will soon come to you.
