Just a Little After Four A.M.

I woke to the sound of angry rain,

Just a little after four A.m.

Had me thinkin of you again,

How you came through like a storm,

thunder crashing, shook the floor,

rain coming down so loud,

on the roof of my empty house,

reminded me of your voice,

how the sound could drown the whole world out,

just a little passed four A.M.

half asleep in my bed,

listening to the rain come down,

had me thinking of you again,

I wanted to look for you,

cause the scent of your perfume,

still lingered in my room,

Just a little after four A.M.

lightning danced across the sky,

reminded me of your smile,

how it could change the night to day,

and I thought,

I hope it rains tomorrow,

so I can think of you again.
