A Painting
On a faded canvas,
i painted lines for you to see,
the story of you and I,
how it came to be,
it started with two fires,
adrift a sea of broken dreams,
how they came together,
i can't quite remember,
perhaps an ancient lust,
like that of long lost lovers,
drew them to eachother,
but when they first touched
the light was nearly blinding,
as if every star collided,
and all the sky was fire...
