It seems that's all we do,
Day in, day out.
I'm always missing you.
My deepest and most sincere feelings,
All locked inside myself for you.
Because if I remind you that I love you,
You're reminded you love me.
(as if we needed reminding.)
We're pretending we weren't made for each other,
And I just don't understand.
I thought I did. It all sounded reasonable.
You said it wasn't fair to him.
Because he treats you good.
But I treat you like I always have.
I can't say exactly how,
But we both know it's better than good.
So after careful consideration,
I believe it's safe to say
That it's just not fair to us.
